Meet Shannon

Remember I said that we'd get to Shannon's bio in Vanessa's character bio?

Well, this is it!

Name: Shannon Norwood

Age: 13

Weight: ???

Shannon is Vanessa's younger kid sister, she can be somewhat bratty and rivals her sister when it comes to being naive. She usually speaks her mind and isn't very good at keeping certain things to herself, often telling Darren of Vanessa's lustful fantasies whenever she overhears her in the bathroom after a shower.

Talk about having no privacy! 

Regardless, Shannon does have a compassionate side and loves to admire life around her.

An idea inspired by a good friend of mines who is an aspiring indie rapper, which also goes by the same name as the funny song itself.

Meet Petey

Name: Peter "Petey" Sanchez
Age: Late Teens
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: Between 130-145 lbs.

Peter is an interesting character- While his appearances stay to a minimal he's actually related to Daisy. He is her cousin. The two were mainly raised together and thus remained only children to their parents since their births, which actually weren't too far apart. Because of this, only he knows things that Daisy would think twice before telling anyone else, not to mention embarrassing family experiences that they both like to blackmail one another with.


Mostly quiet, he enjoys basic activities and hobbies. He is somewhat of a glutton, as his first appearance shows him eating Chinese food and future drawings show him with at least some type of food nearby.



His closest friend is Darren and you'll often see the two of them up to something when together- some type of misadventure!

Meet Darren

Toon Name: Darren Pierce
Age: Late Teens
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 140-160 lbs.

Darren, I chose to model after myself, as he does exhibit some of my qualities. Normally quiet and calm, he prefers to stay mostly to himself unless he's hanging out with his friends, which is every now and then.

Darren's closest friend is in fact Vanessa, who he was hilariously introduced to at preschool one day on her first day in town. On their first meeting a slight accident happened and she's been hooked on him ever since. While Vanessa might openly show her affection towards her best friend, (and  seduction) Darren isn't quite the person to reciprocate such feelings, although he does have a soft spot for her deep inside. This doesn't stop him from playing the occasional prank or practical joke on her, though.


In his first comic appearance his concern over Vanessa's well-being adds to the comic's "funny" factor.


His closest friend besides Vanessa is Daisy's cousin Petey. The often are seen hanging out with one another when they need to get away from the girls. They usually wind up in some weird shenanigan regardless.

Meet Daisy

Name: Daisy Perez
Age: Late Teens
Height: 5' 5"
Weight: What did we say?? (Between 130-140 lbs.)

Daisy is Vanessa's best friend since childhood, the two having met back in kindergarten. She is short, stout and has a curvy figure, slightly more so than Vanessa. Unlike Vanessa, however, she is more serious and straightforward when it comes to personality, along with a shorter fuse to boot. She also worries more about her appearances and takes the necessary steps to keep herself looking young and sexy.

She mainly grew up alongside her cousin Petey, so the two often stick together as family. I actually never introduced Daisy in her own proper comic till recently, so I suggest you go to my DeviantArt site (link is on the bottom of the page) and look through the "Just Desserts Comics" category, where you will find it.

As far as cooking goes, Daisy excels with flying colors. She bakes a mean pie, and can whip up many other delicious goodies. 

Meet Vanessa

Name: Vanessa Norwood
Age: Late Teens
Height 5' 7"
Weight: A girl never reveals her weight! (Allright, she's between 130-145 lbs.)


When Vanessa was conceived, she was developed to be a cheerful, somewhat ditzy, spunky and importantly, attractive female. She likes the colors pink and purple. Her hairstyle in her present form is based off an old-school hairdo, and her pink headband completes the look. She is well-built, and as a result, she has quite the figure. Vanessa also doesn't take many steps to display her sexuality but she does flaunt it whenever possible.


She can be quite short-tempered at times but she does a fine job of controlling her temper. Jealousy, however, brings out the worst in her.
She has a younger sister whose name is Shannon. We MIGHT get to her in a few... 

In the first comic strip she appears in she attempts to prepare a package of ramen noodles only to fail horribly, showing her inability to cook, which was something intended to counter the stereotype that "all women belong in the kitchen". In the second comic strip I featured her in along with another new brainchild (Darren, but we'll get to him soon) showing off her voracious appetite for sweets. She also has a massive crush on her childhood friend Darren, whom she met on her first day of preschool after moving to her new town. Her best "girl" friend is Daisy (who we'll also get to).

I designed a younger version of Vanessa (And the other three friends) as part of a story arc I've been thinking of recently, as a type of "origin" story- I'll get to it one day on these blogs. :)
